NOv 1878; Grace A. 18, dau, b. Mar 1881; Mack A. 13, son, b. May 1886; and Leah L. 6, dau, b. Mar 1894. Also in the household was Ann Crowner 63, mother-in-law, b. Feb 1836.

Charles Henry Almy was a co-founder of Almy & Thomas, a glass factory in Corning, New York. The company belonged to Charles and Giles Edwin Thomas, husband of Ella Celeste Almy, Charles' sister. Almy & Thomas produced lovely pieces of cut glass ware of the brilliant period. The Almy & Thomas cut glass has been pictured and written about in books on cut glass and today is quite a collectors' item.

Charles Henry Almy not only was in the cut glass business with his brother-in-law, but with his brother Adrian Adelbert Almy, founded the town of Almy, Tennessee. See prior page.
