Humphrey, his wife, and their seven children are buried at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

Humphrey in his will made 5 Nov 1881 in Providence, proved 24 Jul 1883, named wife Amey Ann Almy; sons Arthur Louis and Herbert; daughters Rhoda Ann Almy, Evelina Almy, Ada Byron Almy, and Eugenie Almy; and his sister Mary Almy.

Son Arthur Louis Almy was written about in Industries and Wealth of the Principal Points in Rhode Island published in 1892. In it Arthur is identified as one of the younger architects of Providence who sustains a high reputation for skill and reliability and none receive a more flattering measure of recognition. The article states "Mr. Almy is a man in the prime of life, and was born in Providence. He is a thoroughly experienced draughtsman and competent general architect, and is, in a word, master of his art in all its branches. He has been established for the past six years, and has done a large amount of work all over the city and state."
