John Hull Almy was a dentist in Providence and Tiverton, RI for 39 years. He graduated from Cranston High School in 1915, from Brown University in 1919, and from Tufts University Dental School in 1923. An Army veteran of World War I, he served in the Balloon Corps. A member of the American Dental Association, he served as a draft board examiner during World War II. In his younger days, John played the cello at various New England resorts. John Hull Almy's SS No. is 036-26-5706.

John Hull Almy's second wife, Lucia, was a 1919 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Class of 1923. During World War II, while her first husband, Captain Harvie was in the Marine Corps at Iwo Jima and the occupation of Japan, she was an airplane spotter and rolled bandages for the American Red Cross.
