News from Patricia Almy (1407-1426-122)

Pat writes that she has bought and is moving into a house in Little Compton. She writes "the property was formerly (perhaps 100 years ago or so) in the Almy family and is adjacent to the Almy Family Cemetery. It is across the street from my parent's farm and has a beautiful view of the Sakonnet River.

"My sons, Michael (age 17) and William (age 14) have grown up to be fine young men since you saw them last. Mike is going to be a senior at Providence Country Day School. We have begun looking at colleges. He is an excellent student and athlete. He is a life guard at the town beach, South Shore and a referee in the RI youth Soccer Association. He was just named the 1999 RI Youth Soccer Referee of the Year.

"William is entering 8th grade at the Wilbur & McMahon School here, which is where I teach. He is a soccer referee as well and plays in the school band and is a member of the school mock trial team. He volunteered as an intern for the state this summer in the RI Judicial Services & Sciences program in the computer operations."
