Beverly J. (Almy) Van Epps (1233-4692-44)

Beverley J. Van Epps, 87, of Troy, New York, died May 5, 1998 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. Born in Greenwich, New York, she was the daughter of Floyd B. and Alice (Hammond) Almy and was the widow of John E. Van Epps.

Beverley was educated in Greenwich schools and had resided in Troy for many years. She and her husband co-founded and operated the former Credit Bureau of Troy. She was a member and past treasurer of the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary with more than 3,500 volunteer hours of service.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Shirley Van Epps Waple of Troy; a step-son, John E. Van Epps, VI of Wheaton, Maryland; a nephew, Floyd A. Almy of Troy; a niece, Charlotte L. Dwyer of Ocala, Florida; and two step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers; Guy and Raymond Almy, and a sister, Laura Almy.
