Richard wrote that his son Richard C. ("Mac") Almy received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison last December. Then on May 27th, 1999, he married Jane Kurtz, the daughter of James and Dorothy Kurtz of Cape Coral, Florida. The wedding was in the Unitarian Church in Madison, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Mac and Jane reside in Madison.
