Scott Bill Hirst, a William Almy descendant through his daughter Anne2, was re-elected to his fourth consecutive term on the Hopkinton, Rhode Island Town Council. A five member body, the new Town Council consists of three Democrats and two Republicans. Elected on November 5, 2002; they were sworn in on November 10, 2002.
Scott Bill Hirst, a Republican, is the first Hopkinton Town Council member to be elected to four consecutive terms since the 1960's. The town of Hopkinton, was created in 1757, and created by territory of the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island.
