Jennifer wrote that her son Harry went to France in May with his high school class, came back home to play a concert at Jordan Hall in June, and then went on a tour with the Youth Symphony Orchestra for 12 days in June. She and her husband Michael are flying to Spain and plan to see the orchestra perform in Barcelona.
In an email, Terrance wrote "The US Army has activated my younger brother, Anthony Joseph Almy, from the Army Reserves. He arrived in Kuwait last Sunday (3/31/03) and has been sent to the port city of Um Gasr (spelling??) in Iraq. He is assigned to the 724th MP Battalion there. He is in the MP's and will be working at the POW camp there. Will keep you updated as we get news.
Also, our daughter, Suzanne Katherine McCusker is pregnant with a due date of early September. The great thing about this is she is having twins. She may find out the gender in 2 weeks when she goes in for another ultra-sound. Again, will keep you updated
General William A. Knowlton writes that his daughter Hollister's husband, Major General David H. Petraeus, commands the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq. He recently had the task of taking and clearing out the holy city of Najaf while maintaining the welcome of the locals. Hollister's father and two of her brothers are decorated cambat veterans of Vietnam - all Almy descendants. David Petraeus (his father was a Dutch sea captain) graduated from West Point in the top 5% of his class, and also holds an MS and Phd from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton.
