Paul wrote "this last summer on my way to Colorado I stopped to see the farm originally my grandfathers (Frank Fayette Almy) and took the time to finally find the Horace Manchester Almy Homestead I remember as a child. All the buildings I remember are gone and it took a bit of sleuthing to locate it. The last time I was there was in '77 with my parents -- we stopped to see Horace's son Horace and his wife who were still living at the time. The "new" house is still there and Horace's wife is, I believe, still living there with one of their children, but I didn't find anyone at home. I went also to the Cedar Hill Church -- this also my first visit there -- and found most of the family history of the Nebraska Almy's in the graveyard. There were all the aunts, uncles, and cousins I remember when we made our annual visit to the farm when I was a child. Next time I must take pictures of the church and gravestones."
