This Newsletter

As I prepared to put together this issue of the newsletter, I realized that I did not have a lead article to feature on the front page. And at this time I do not have the energy to write one. These past few months have been difficult for me. I have not fully recovered my strength from the prostate cancer surgery on November 27, 1995.

Not only that but for the past three months or so my left knee has been sore. After X-Rays and an MRI the doctors found that the cartilage in my knee was badly torn. So I had an arthroscopic medial meniscectomy on February 26, 1997. I am off my crutches now, but I still hobble around and have difficulty sleeping because pressure on the knee is painful.

Then this past Saturday night the water pipe coming into the house started leaking. The city turned off our water on Sunday and on Monday I found a plumber that could work on it. The supply pipeline from the street to the house had to be replaced.

We were without running water for a total of 5 days.

Living in a house without water presented a lot of problems and the added work of filling toilet tanks did not help my knee.

This shall pass and life will be better!!
