Through the exchange of messages on the internet between Thomas Almy (1233-8618-2113), my
son Thomas Almy (1408-3312-1122), and myself, I learned of the birth of Thomas Almy
(1233-8618-2213-1) on December 7, 1995 in Fall River, MA. Neither father or son have middle
names. I congratulate Thomas and his wife Mary on the start of their family.

Constance (Almy) Danielson, 90, of Pearl River, New York, died November 2, 1996. She was
born July 2, 1906, in Corning, New York, the daughter of Coit Charles and Josephine Northrup
(Goff) Almy. She married Irvin Sigwald Danielson on August 3, 1936 in Branchport, New York.
They had two sons who are now doctors, Robert Almy Danielson in California and Kenneth
Sigwald Danielson in Vermont. I corresponded with Connie for over 20 years and I will miss
hearing of her genealogical adventures. She will be missed.
JOSIAH B. MILLER
(1233-5147-234W2)
Silvia Nichols (1233-5147-233) wrote me that her sister Betsey's husband died in December 1996.
Betsey married, as her second husband, on April 13, 1977, in Ithaca, New York, Josiah Borden
Miller. They lived in a beautiful house in Ithaca during their marriage. Josiah was 82 years old at
the time of his death. Our condolences and prayers go to Betsey on her loss.
CONSTANCE MATHER PRICE
(1235-4131-1111)
Constance Mather Price, 78, of Bratenahl, Ohio, passed away May 25, 1997. Connie was born
July 21, 1918, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Philip R. and Madeleine (Almy) Mather.
She married John Lemar Price, Jr. on September 6, 1947 in Orleans, Massachusetts. They were
subsequently divorced, but she maintained a close friendship with her former husband.
Constance was involved in civic, sports and theater activities throughout her life. As a young
woman, she was a model and worked for the American Red Cross Motor Corps in the Boston
area. She drove an ambulance during the Cocoanut Grove night club fire in Boston that killed 491
people in 1942.
She was an apprentice at Richard Aldrich's Cape Playhouse in Massachusetts, where she worked
with such stars as Gertrude Lawrence and Tallulah Bankhead. In 1954 she participated in the
planning and development of Musicarnival, a tent theater in Warrensville Heights, Ohio and its
winter counterpart in Palm Beach, Florida. She raced her own sailboat, was a member of the
Cleveland Ski Club and was a champion horsewoman with the Chagrin Valley Hunt.
Constance spent part of her childhood in Cleveland, Ohio where her father was on the board of
Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company. During World War II she served with the Red Cross Clubmobile
and the USO in England, France and Germany.
Connie is survived by sons John L. of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Philip M. of Chardon, Ohio;
daughters Diana of Cleveland, and Madeleine of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; three grandchildren; and
three sisters.
I corresponded with Connie for over 20 years and I will miss her friendly letters. She lived on the
East side of Cleveland and I was born and raised on the West side and her father and my father
were Cleveland Indians fans way back.
