On March 31, 1998, I received an Email message from Krysten Ryan Haranda asking for my help in finding her birth mother. She informed me that her parents were divorced when she was 5 years old and she went to live with her father. She was raised by her father and step-mother who had adopted her and that she had no contact with her mother and maternal grandparents.
From the information she furnished I knew that her Almy number was 1252-95A3-2513-1. However, I informed Krysten that I had lost contact with her immediate relatives, and that most of the information on her family had come from her grandfather Almy's brother about 10 years ago. I furnished the last address I had on him and said that he might be able to help her find her mother.
On April 22, 1998, I received the following Email message: "I just wanted to write you and tell you that on April 20th, at 9:31 p.m., I got to talk to my birth mother for the first time in 15 years and it was the greatest thing I've EVER felt! I wanted to thank you for all of your patience and trying to help me find her! From the bottom of my heart! Thank you!"
I am very happy with how it came out and wish all concerned the best in the future.
