Almy, the community has sustained more than an ordinary loss, and the writer, who has been a life-long friend of Mr. Almy, takes this opportunity of offering a tribute of respect to the deceased, and a word of sympathy to the bereaved family. Mr. Almy as a boy attended the public schools of his own town, and later prepared for college at Pierce Academy, Middleboro, Massachusetts. He later took up farming as an occupation.
