Frances Almy Culler (1232-1218-411)

Frances Harriet Almy Culler, 95, of Mansfield, Ohio, died March 20, 2004. She was born May 6, 1908, in Mansfield and was a lifelong resident of that city. She was the daughter of Howard Barton Almy and Harriet A. Sowash. Her husband, of 58 years, George W. Culler, died October 28, 1993.

Frances graduated from Mansfield High School in 1926 and served as secretary/treasurer of the class reunions. She was a lifetime member of First English Lutheran Church and a charter member of Homebuilders Sunday school class and a member of the Mary Circle. Frances was a member and past Worthy Matron of Ruth Chapter #17, Order of the Eastern Star and also a member District 10 Past Matrons Club.

Frances served on the Board of Directors of Rainbow for Girls and was the recipient of the Grand Cross of Color. She was a charter member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mansfield.

Frances was a member of the Amaranth #42 and served as an appointee officer for several years. She was a charter member and past president of the Ladies Shrine Club, a member of the Mary Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Child Conservation Club.
